That's the thing, I can't equip it. It only says, "Set Preferred Back Carrier,"
I have this issue too. I can place my infant in the carrier but it's invisible even if I select my preferred one
- @FaeoftheEast I honestly hope the sims team decides to put a quick fix out because a lot of people seem to be having the same issue, like, I have an infant that loves to be held while sleeping and the carrier would be so helpful.
I set the preferred infant carrier but the game does not give me an option to place the infant in the carrier. Please help I’m getting frustrated with my game.
Mine is exactly the same, do you have mods in game? I’m trying to work out if one of mine is conflicting

The option to put them in the carrier is also under baby care. If you do not see it at first then click More.
- @Kate33119 I don't own GRO, but did you try to put the carrier on first in CAS?
Mine doesn’t give me that option under baby care.
where is it located in CAS? I went through everything but couldn’t seem to find it. I have the new pack installed.
- @Kate33119 I'm so sorry but I can't help with this, I don't own the pack. I only know that the carriers are located in CAS, they're items to wear. I guess they could be in the Accessories submenu.
I think I figured it out, for mine anyway!
the mc command centre mod is broken at the moment so I removed and I can finally place in baby carrier, I hope this helps you! It isn’t in CAS it is an option in baby care.- crinrict3 years agoHero+
@LilacPlumbobYT Are you using custom content or mods in your game ?
The option should look like this
@FaeoftheEast Same question. If not, what are your graphics settings ?EDIT: Please remove MCCC if you want to use the carriers until it gets updated.
@OceaSykesI wish I could. I removed it before and still didn't have the option to put my infant in the baby carrier. I even repaired my game after in hopes that it would help. All that I have now is furniture cc and clothing cc because I know nothing like that would interfere. ☹️
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@LilacPlumbobYT Do you have any other mods/cc ? Did you delete the localthumbcache file ?
- @crinrict I only have furniture/clothes, stuff that won't interfere. I also haven't deleted the localthumbcache file? Should I, I thought that I shouldn't...
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@LilacPlumbobYT After removing/adding mods, you should always delete the file
- @crinrict After deleting it, I still don't have the option to put my infant in the back carrier. I even made sure I had no script files that would be interfering. ☹️
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@LilacPlumbobYT Did you rename the folder yet and let the game create a new one then test on a fresh save ?
@crinrictI wanna cry. I took out my mods folder, and it worked, so I am just gonna build from the ground up and only have certain creators in my game I guess and so no modded furniture for the time being
- crinrict3 years agoHero+@LilacPlumbobYT Did you check the list of outdated mods ? Maybe it can give you an indication. Not sure if I linked already so here: https://forums.thesims.com/en_US/discussion/1007107/broken-updated-mods-cc-march-2023-infants-patch/
Same for me. Have you found a way to fix it?
Delete all pregnancy mods , belly enhancements, baby cc , anything outdated . Finally got it to work now my sim won’t take it off
