Re: [MOD/CC RELATED] Sims have a shattered/buggy face

Okay i'm assuming this is due to some sort of weird slider or preset but I've tried without both and it's not working. If I remove the sliders, the custom presets still mess the face up. If I remove the presets, the sliders still end up messing up the face (specifically the eyes but the custom presets affect any part of the face). I'm aware that the slider issue is likely because of a broken slider, but as I said the presets will also get messed up even if I remove the sliders. I've tried multiple fixes such as: Repairing the game, removing the mods folder to reset it, removing the sims 4 folder completely to start a fresh game and I've removed a bunch of mods I've seen that may have caused this issue. I know EA eyelash mods in particular can cause this issue but these have already been removed. I really don't know what to do, I've gone through a bunch of posts on this site but nothing has worked and It's really starting to stress me out because I worry that this can't be fixed at all. I'd really appreciate anyone being able to help me out, thanks so much.

    @jamrob161 In your case, I recommend doing a 50-50 and assuming that you need to isolate multiple broken mods, not one. You've likely got both at least one broken preset and at least one broken slider. If you identify any not listed in Broken/Updated Mods & CC (including in Previously Broken) or on p. 1 here, please let me know. Be suspicious of any merged package files.

    I've taken out all my presets and put them back in one by one, swapping out ones that dont work for other ones etc but none of them work at all. They all do that weird distorted glitch. it's like all my presets are broken, I'm doing this with no other mods in my folder btw.

    @jamrob161 If it's still happening in a new game, please try making a new Mods folder: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving. Then try again.

    @jamrob161 Please try a fresh user folder:

    Drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.

    Launch Sims 4 .

    Start with New to test if your issue recurs in a new game.

    I've already tried that and it didn't work, I tried again just now and it didn't work again

    @jamrob161 Same lol. From everything I've tried, the only way to fix this is to switch to an EA preset and choose the custom preset again to tweak the face back to the original state. I gave up my save on the 10th generation bc of this glitch.

    Ugh that's so annoying! This is on my boyfriend's computer not my normal one so I should be able to play at home, but it's still so frustrating. It's like my game is just corrupt.

    @jamrob161 @itzfyl If a completely new user folder and new save still produces the error, try the bugfix mod listed on p. 1 and head to Bug Reports. (For most people, this has been a mod issue.)

    @jamrob161 Head to Bug Reports. Do try a Game Repair and clean folder, though, too. Make sure when you do the clean folder that the game behaves like you just bought it. (Otherwise there could be folder issue.)
