I'm not sure what option gives you the panel that you show in your pic.  It appears to be an option to visit another sim/household rather than go on a vacation.  So, I think you are trying to take a vacation using the wrong option.

To take a vacation, use the Take a Vacation option under Travel on a sim's phone.  When you use that option, the first thing you do is choose which sims to go on vacation with the sim making the call.  Hitting ok will take you to the vacation world screen where you pick a world.  Pick your world and it takes you to that world to pick a rental.  Pick your rental by clicking on it and you get a popup where you choose how many days you'll stay.  Once you hit ok, you load into the rental house and begin your vacation.

    @CGrant56 Hey yes of course definitely your are correct, I wanted to send actuall problem image but weirdly my EA webpage said it was too big.
