Re: never seen career day so broken

tried placing my mods folder into documents for how I wasn't able get career day to work so when I had reached out to support about it that i was able to get it to work from their instructions and have no idea why it doesn't work with my mods since I did try taken one folder out at a time for how it wasn't doing this before when I had made a bunch sims in the game and  wasn't sure if this was a bug

did remove a lot of duplicates while conflicts after i had used a mod from Twistedmaxi and MTS since i did like the sims mod assist for how i still haven't been able to figure what is causing the problem since  i did try everything that i could and still couldn't get career day to work property and thought it was the more student mod but i found it wasn't that or my tray folder since  i never seen career day so annoying 

@thebite You'll need to test with no mods first. Exit Sims 4 then drag your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.

To find out which mod, don't just guess what it might be. Use the 50-50 method.

after i had put my mods back in without the my tray folder that i saw two of my saves working fine but when i went back to my other save that had over 47 households that i still couldn't attend career day or how to fix it since did try everything that i could and hope that it doesn't return after i had deleted it  and hope they can fix it with a update

@thebite This isn't a know game bug, that it doesn't occur at all. There is one report where it has the wrong calendar day.

For the households where it doesn't occur at all, do they have more than 3 Sims? Are all the Sims for whom it doesn't appear on the calendar the fourth Sim or later in the household panel on the bottom left?

@thebite Could you try this test please?

1. Exit Sims 4 then drag your whole Sims 4 folder from Document > Electronic Arts to your desktop.
2. Launch Sims 4 and reset your Options. You will now have a new folder in Electronic Arts
3. Exit, and then go to your desktop and open the old Saves folder
4. Copy the save files into the new folder. Don't copy the folder itself. Leave the backup copies on your desktop.
5. Launch Sims 4 and play in your problem save long enough to see if a career fair happens
6. As part of that, test in a household you never played before and in one you did

This way we can be truly certain that your issue isn't that a mod is stopping a career fair from happening in that 47-household save.

after doing a lot of digging and testing that i ended up finding that the student mod from  Ksuihih's Corners was out of date were i ended up finding one from MTS and cant tell what mod that could be cause after seeing my sims no longer being asked for career day that things have went back to normal since it wasn't my mods folder causing the problem but a mod i had downloaded 

Thanks @thebite ! The one on Patreon has the same date as the MTS one as well for that mod.

np how I was able to find theses mods not working. that I would send my sims off to school to do testing for me and would use the Ultra speed 3 which did help out a ton for how the pop up would only happen from Monday through Thursday since I did skip prom and hope this ends up helping someone out that can't do career day since I did update some mods from MTS and glad I did this to fix my game 

@thebite Game speed mods would definitely do this! Changing game speed with a mod has an impact on any event that's supposed to happen at a particular time in the game.

Which mods were affecting career day for you?

had to update the walkby moresims and Scumbumbo after they where out of date but when i had replaced them that i was able to do career day again for how i no longer see the pop up
