Re: sims 4 failed to save error code 401

@FaithfullySev Some Simmers have said that saving from the Manage Worlds view worked for them in this case. Give that a go. (If the issue is within the save itself, those other fixes won't touch it.) If you still lhave problems, you might need to load an earlier version of your save.

@Hayw1reYtSo glad to hear it! I would suggest doing a folder refresh in case it helps prevent the issue in the future, plus regularly copy-pasting your most recent save file somewhere else. When I do that for mine, I stick them in a folder with the date on it. Now and then I delete the older folders since I know the more recent ones I backed up are okay.

For the folder refresh, drag The Sims 4 out of Electronic Arts and start the game. Then put the contents of the folders Saves, Mods, and Tray back in the newly created folders. Reset your options how you like them in the game. This is a good time to save those screenshots and videos somewhere else if you don't actually use them in-game in any way.

I tried doing that but now whenever I reload the game all progress has been lost ☹️

@RagnhildBugge The gane can load only the most recent time you were able to save. You will always lose progress between the last save and what you did since then.

  • It worked, sadly not as effective, i did lose like 20 minutes worth progress, but better than last time, last time i lost 100% progress
