PierceClJm You can't mix and match MCCC file versions. Keep the .cfg files. Delete all the others and install ONLY the current version. That can be EITHER the current public version OR the current early-access version. Never part of each.
If you aren't using Discord for support, consider using only the public version of the mod. The early access version will be out before long (after its bugs are all worked out) anyway.
