@RonEmski   Hello!  Perhaps move your Mods folder to your desktop and delete the localthumbcache.package file located in the Documents / Electronic Arts / The Sims 4 folder before opening the game for testing.  When you launch the game again, a new Mods folder will generate with only the resource file.  So, this is just to see if everything works properly without any mods/CC at all.  If you do this, do not save your game at this point or use the "save as" option to create a copy of your save before testing, to make sure you don't make any inadvertent changes.
