Re: Which pack brings this moodlet?

@aodoherty That's a sentiment moodlet. It comes from having a positive sentiment with a sim that was nearby.

Edit: Sentiments are part of the base game.

    @PoptartJuniperThanks. Then it could be from patch update. 🙂 Is there a way to disable this sentiment? It's likely to get being playful much easier than before.

    I discovered this just now. It's from cooking together memory but you know, she took part in cooking together with my other vampire sim. The vamp sim led the cooking with her but he doesn't have this sentiment moodlet. This moodlet controls all other happy moodlets.

    This guy, Jamie is about to go to hysteria again. Only Playful +1 moodlet controls all the other moodlets. It's unbelievable.

    @aodoherty

    There are no game options to disable it. Maybe a mod could but it wouldn't help you anyway. As I wrote earlier it is not that one moodlet that does it. The other 7 moodlets would be more than enough to cause hysteria. You are correct that the happy moodlets can't amplify playful without at least one playful moodlet but apart from the one you would like to get rid off you have five others. So it would not help to get rid of just that one.

    No, it does NOT control the happy moodlets. happy Moodlets boost any playful moodlet.

    I erased just one moodlet by ui cheat extension mod, and she is back to be happy. I know what you mean. I used the wrong words I think. Anyway, I wish this kind of death will be removed by patch, it doesn't make sense to me.

    @aodoherty

    I also think that happy moodlets boosts playful way too much making it too easy to get hysterical.

    @jpkarlsen Yes but I also think the sims in my household have the right to be happy in their life.

    @aodoherty Hello there!  I actually have a love / hate relationship with the sentiments.  Some are cute and helpful, but some are way too intrusive.  If you're not opposed to using cheats, I'm adding a list of cheats for adding / removing sentiments in the spoiler below.  I really wish we had the option to turn sentiments off similar to other features in the game, like aging and autonomy.   Have fun playing!

    Spoiler

    Sentiments cheats:
    modifyrelationship firstname lastname firstname2 lastname2 100 (Sentiment Tag)
    if you want to take away a sentiment put -100 instead of 100

    Here are two examples:

    If I want to give John Smith a "closer from happy memories" sentiment about Jane Smith, the cheat should look like this:
    modifyrelationship John Smith Jane Smith 100 sentimentTrack_Close_ST_generic

    If John Smith has the "closer from happy memories" sentiment about Jane Smith and I want to remove it, then the cheat should look like this:
    modifyrelationship John Smith Jane Smith -100 sentimentTrack_Close_ST_generic

    @aodohertyAhh, hysteria, my old friend.  :P  We used SO MANY DEATH FLOWERS before I used MC Command Center to disable emotional deaths. And yes, it was sentiments;  my Sim had positive sentiments with her daughter that gave her a playful buff and she's Cheerful.

    Here are some of the strategies that I successfully used.

    • Talk yourself down in the mirror
    • Start a club gathering with a different emotional tone (strongest focused vibe, strongest inspired vibe, etc.)
    • Eat a Jungle Adventure Tree of Emotions berry
    • Drink any cowplant milk that isn't happy or playful
    • Get eaten by a cowplant (okay, this is extreme and you can't do it two days in a row or you'll die)

    Lately I've been using Meaningful Stories, a mod that redesigns the emotion system so that you can't get hysterical just from being near a friend in a comfy chair and a nicely decorated room.  It's harder to get your Sim into the mood you want them to be in, but they don't die from hanging around with their family.  It does a lot more and may or may not be your cup of tea.  But the issue is, IMHO, that there are so many happy buffs handed out by so many things (and don't get me wrong, I love happy Sims!) that a single playful buff sends them over the edge into Hysteria and death.

    When my Sim and her daughter lived in a Tiny House together, my Sim's daughter was working on the Joke Star aspiration and her mother had Vicarious, so if I let her mother sit next to her while she was writing comedy routines, Mom would gain comedy skill but also become Hysterical.  *facepalm*

    And yes, as others have said, that's a Base Game Sentiment.

    @xochiquetzl_xkvnStarting the club gathering with different emotion will be the best solution for me. Thanks so much. I haven't thought about that with a big club points. :D Can I ask which mod you are using for your game? 🙂

    @JonaO703  Thank you so much for the cheats. I'm going to enjoy those. :D Can I ask you one? I saw life saver sentiment. When do you usually get this sentiment? In what situation?

    @aodoherty  I'm pretty sure it's this...

    • Awed (by Lifesaving Hero) – Sim #2 literally saved Sim #1 from the clutches of death. Sim #1 is grateful and amazed

    I copied that from the sims community website.  They have a complete list of sentiments if you're interested in learning more about them and want to search for it.

    I think a sim will get this sentiment when another sim pleads for their life and the Grim Reaper revives the sim.  I'm not sure how else one sim might be able to save another.

    @aodohertyIt's Meaningful Stories.  I'm not allowed to link directly to mods on the forum, but if you google "meaningful stories for the sims 4" you should find the site and more information about the mod.

    The other mod I mentioned, MC Tuner, is part of MC Command Center, which is listed under the Bug Report Forum's Hero Approved Mods.  MC Tuner -> Change Interaction Behavior -> Allow Emotional Deaths.

    @xochiquetzl_xkvnThanks! I found that mod page and looks brilliant!

    Edit: Looks like it's not free. I can play without it. Thanks.

    @aodohertyIt IS free. I certainly didn't pay for it!  😉

    If you click download with "name your own price" next to it, there's a link right above where you would put a dollar amount that takes you to a free download area.

    Maybe do you know about this moodlet?

    I started getting this sad moodlet since installing the mod.

    I have no idea why my sim is getting this sad moodlet. is there a way to get rid of this? My sims are getting this moodlet very often. 5 to 6 times a day?
