Romantic Interactions Won't Move Further

these kind of errors are most often mods/cc related.

If you're using any, please remove them and try again.

I had this problem too.

What I did was open up the cheat bar “CTRL”, “ALT” “C” pressed at the same time, entered “testingcheats on”, and shift clicked on the sim you want to have a relationship with and found the option “cheat relationship”, clicked “add relationship bit” and scrolled until I found the option “girlfriend”.
