Roof overlapping wall

I have a two story build and on the second floor the roof seems to be overlapping and deleting the wall and wallpaper. When I add new wallpaper it selects the roof and not the room how do I fix this? 
In the photo provided the red wallpaper is the room and the green is the roof overlapping. I will upload it on the gallery my user is macky_1734 and it’s labeled as “room/roof glitch” thank you!🙂

    It’s counterintuitive, but pull the roof in further. If it goes all the way into the room, it will usually get cut out leaving you with your actual wall. But if it only goes just as far as it needs to, the overlap annoyingly shows the roof’s wallpaper instead of the room’s.
