Save File Best Practice

Im working on mye own save file for 1 year + and need some advice for putting the finishing touches on it.

The save file incluedes my builds, my remodels, new sims, old sims with makeovers etc. Further more i wanted to make sure that all the sims had backstories, jobs and relationships but this is proving to be a bit difficult as my sims seems to loose the realtionships. Any advice on how to do this, and how to make sure that all my work and effort stays? I have already lost all relationships once and it put me off playing for several months..

any advice for save files is greatly appreciated, also topics not included over 🙂

Make it into a save template.

This is basically just a save that you never play. If you never play it, relationships will never decay or change. When you want to play with it, load the template save and immediately save it AS a different name. That way you get to play with it and the template save remains unchanged and you start a new game fresh with everything already set up.

That's how I always start new games. I just load the template, save-as, and play. I haven't actually used the "New Game" button in years.
