Saves after 4/18 update

AFTER the 4/18 update, I've noticed a large gap in my save files. I am desperately trying to restore my game back to 4/17 or before however there is no data there which is odd given I know I saved my game. The only saves available are from 4/19 to today and some randoms from 2017. Does anyone know how to access this or am I completely screwed?

BEFORE any one tries to come for me - I have enough space on my computer, there is no reason why it wouldn't be stored properly for this reason alone.

Thanks in advance for any help and insight.

P.S. I play on a MacBook

yes this is correct, I just assumed that from what I read thus far in other forms online that my saves were the only way to solve this issue. but yes, when I go to create a new household and insert from the gallery, everything is fine/all cc appear! but the sims already place in my game are still without cc. I'm assuming I saved accidentally during the chaos of me trying to figure out how to fix my game (turned out to be broken cc which was removed)

Unfortunately yes, sounds like you saved after loading without the CC ☹️
