Scenarios Arent Working

HELP! 
My scenarios do not work at all on my Sims four game. I am able to start a scenario and put it into a new household or an existing household. However once I actually started playing the household I selected by scenario screen turns white, blue, or purple. It will have no information up there it would just be completely blank with random words up there. The only way I’m even able to see what the criteria is for the scenario is if I click the question mark.
