Scoring Simoleons Discovery Quest won't Complete

When I do the Scoring Simoleons Discovery Quest, it won't complete. My sims both have a career already and its stuck on "get a career." I don't want to make them get a new career because they are both making good money. They are pretty far along in their careers as well and I don't want to have them start over in a different career just to complete the discovery quest. But I want the money from the discovery quest. What should I do?

    I got it to complete. All I had to do was go into the phone and click on "find a job," then it will complete. You can back out of the "find a job" menu and keep your job.

    Are you playing with mods or cc? You might just have a conflict with one. You can test that by exiting Sims 4 then dragging your Mods folder to your desktop. Then delete the file called localthumbcache from Document > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you think you might accidentally forget to exit without saving after testing, copy your Saves folder to your desktop too, to back it up. Now open Sims 4 and see if you still have the problem. If you don't, you can start the process of figuring out what from your Mods folder was causing it.

    Either way, there's an easy money cheat ("money" plus the amount you want the Sim to have in total after more money is added) that would mimic the result.

    I play with mods. No cc. I will try the thing you suggested.

    I tried removing the mods folder and it still hasn't completed the quest. Grr.

    I'd suggest using the money cheat to simulate for now, and adding a bug report in AHQ Bugs . You can add the info that you had mods during the process and that removing mods didn't allow it to complete.
