Shoe CC Breaking Game Post-DX11 Update

Good evening all,

I'm having a bit of an odd issue where specifically shoe-related CC is causing my game to crash with either a "Sims 4 has stopped working" window, or a "Cannot start because game data is missing or damaged [de4ee14f:29f00e76:00000000:4b0d852b]" error. Normally I would do the arduous but reliable 50/50 method to find the offending CC, but that isn't working this time. During my most recent attempt, I sorted the problem folder (shoes) by date and had no problem only loading CC created in 2024. However, the crashes returned once I loaded 2023 CC. What is odd is that during testing I made subsequent attempt with just the 2024 CC but it still crashed. If that doesn't make sense let me try and lay it out more plainly.

Attempt 1: Only 2024 CC - Successful game load

Attempt 2: All 2023 and 2024 CC - Game crash

Attempt 3: 50/50 2023 down to 1 file - all crash

Attempt 4: Only 2024 CC - Game crash

I apologize if I have insufficiently communicated the issue but I'm at my wits' end with this. Has anyone heard of a similar problem or know a solution? Thank you all for your time and have a great weekend.

@Kentvrio Try making a new subfolder in Mods and moving the CC files into it.

@Kentvrio If you switch back to DX9 does it work?

@Kentvrio Okay, your next thing to try is to redownload some of that CC that's being broken. See if a fresh file works.

@luthienrising That's part of the issue, I can't identify which CC it is, unless you're saying I need to redownload the entire folder's worth.

@Kentvrio If the whole folder got corrupted somehow, yes, you might. What I want you to test is if the same CC item from a fresh download works.

@luthienrising Yes I get conceptually what you're asking, but my point is that I currently have no way to determine which .package file is creating the problems. As I said in the original post, there are instances where I have attempted to load the game more than once with the same group of files, but with different results. One time the game will load, but the next time it will crash.

@Kentvrio Okay, I had understood that the whole shoe CC folder was causing a problem. It's only that folder, though? But sometimes you get a crash and sometimes not? Honestly, redownloading might be your best option.

Correct that it is only related to this folder, but it is 100% the CC, not the folder itself as the game loads fine if I have the folder empty. My theory is that some change made with the DX11 patch, or one within a relatively short timeframe from that patch, affected CC specifically tagged with the feet slot, but as stated before I haven't been able to narrow down exactly which files are affected.
