Sim still stuck after resetting sim

This only happens to me when playing sims university. I don’t have any mods, and nothing can fix it. I’ve tried everything. The only thing I can do is delete and start again. Why has EA not fixed this problem? I used to be able to leave the world and come back but now since their new update not even that works. Game is basically unplayable.
