sims 4 bug

I don't know if there's something wrong with my mods or if it's just some weird bug/glitch, but I went onto the sims 4 to make a household of 2. And after i got done creating them, I chose their housing. And after everything loaded in, I noticed one of my sims wasn't in my household/family. I thought a random bug removed them from my family so I shift clicked them to add them back, but I didn't see the 'add to family' option. It's only the one sim, the other one is still in the household. I went to different areas and houses, I even added another random sim and they stayed in the household. I deleted every broken mod I found to see if that would help, but it didn't. I also disabled all my mods and went back in, that also did nothing.

  • Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

  • I appreciate you getting back to me, but I just decided to delete the sims I created and not deal with it lol. I have no problem with any of my other sims I've created (with cc as well and the same cc I had on the other sim that was bugged out of my household). I've never had a problem like this before so I didn't know how to deal with. Thank you again
