@SAllega5 Please do a "vanilla" test: Drag the entire Mods folder to the desktop (or rename it, but I find it easier to move it to a complete different location that's clearly within view). Then delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
Okay thank you I will try that but what exactly am I testing? Am I testing if mods or cc are the problem? Or do I do the vanilla test then put my mods folder back and that should fix it?

I’ve done the vanilla test and it turns out to be mod related.
I tried the 50/50 method but once I put all the safe mods back into my sims mod files the game still glitched. I’m not sure what’s going on but I’m very confused and quite stressed out still, I’m not sure what to do going forward.
