    Furniture doesn't go in the tray folder. It goes in the mods folder

    Only thing that goes in the tray folder are houses/rooms/Sims

I'm having a similar problem! I download Furniture cc, and I put it in the mods folder. But its not showing up in game ;c. Any suggestions?
