sims 4 doesn’t load after update

the most recent update completely ruined my game. i had to delete all of my legacy save because it was completely broken and unfixable after the latest update. i started a brand new save, however now...

    @h34rtbr4ker If it works when mods are removed, then it sounds like at least one of your mods is broken. Try using the 50/50 method to check for which one.

    If it crashes even with all mods removed, are you playing on a lot with the off the grid challenge? There’s currently a bug with that lot challenge. If you enter build mode from manage worlds and remove off the grid, you should then be able to load in and play.

thank you! i thought all my mods were updated however it turned out to be chingy’s traits that were causing the issue. once i deleted the files and redownloaded them my game loaded in. again thank you very much!

@h34rtbr4ker Her traits are cleared for the patch but often have installation issues. You can get support for that from her.

    thank you. i have attempted to fix this myself and i have also sent a message to the discord support server, just waiting for a reply!
    i was able to find the exact file that caused the issue.
    “chingyu_100TraitsV1_DefaultStrings_DO_NOT_REMOVE“

      @h34rtbr4ker Chingyu's mods are cleared for the patch, including that one. Make sure you're on the current version, but also that you don't test that file alone. The instructions indicate that you need to use it with trait files.

        i have tested those files together. my game works when i have all the traits together, except when i have that specific file in my folder. i am on the current version, i have downloaded and redownloaded the current version over and over and reread the instructions to ensure that i downloaded it right.
