Sims 4 Flapping T-Pose Eternal Simulation Issue/Lovestruck Base Patch

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 11083291020DX9
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? A lot that I cannot type in right now.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? The bug happens randomly. Play a household, wait for your sim to enter simulation lag. Then look around for NPC sims and see the issue.
What happens when the bug occurs? NPC sims including played and unplayed start doing a repeated T pose flapping animation which causes an indefinitely long simulation lag to any household I am currently playing.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see sims interacting and not having a t-posing flapping animation.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. After the Lovestruck base game patch.

Since the latest patch update, my sim suffers terrible simulation lag that is worse than usual, broken simulation lag. Resetting my sim doesn't fix it. I notice it happens when an moodlet is timing out but is indefinitely on 0 minutes. I also notice that nearby sims whom I am not in control of, start T-posing oddly. They repeatedly flap their arms while standing in one place, as if their code is stuck in resetting mode and t-posing. This is a glitch I have never seen before. It makes the game unplayable.

    @HenriettaStrife

Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

  • I've had this game for a long time. It isn't the mods. I know all about moving the mod folder and yada yada. Issue still persists.

@HenriettaStrife Without a test to show it's not mods -- and this kind of issue has been known to be a result of broken sliders before -- we can't know it's a game issue. Please do a "vanilla" test: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

  • hello! i have the same issue right now and wanted to know if you've found a way to fix it? im also not sure if it's mods or if it's just a game bug.

update. it was the lumpinou rpo mods for me. maybe check if you have these mods and if they're outdated

  • You are not listening. I have DONE THAT BEFORE. I do that ANYTIME I get an issue BEFORE I come here. I only come here if I know it isn't a mod causing the issue. I don't have sliders by the way. Yeah it's a game issue. With the amount of updates we've been getting, it shows the game is causing these gameplay bugs.

  • @gaabyylara Which Lumpinou mods did you remove? I have some by that creator but the issue still happened after removing all mods. However I didn't try a brand new save.

@HenriettaStrife When you removed all mods, did you drag out the whole Mods folder (or rename it) and delete the file called localthumbcache? If so, please also try a Game Repair in the EA App so that the EA App gets all your packs up to date with anything they're missing. (Steam has a similar function you can use if that's your entry point to the game.)

  • Just came here to say: I have no Mods and also have this issue. So, the problem lies somewhere in the actual game.
