Sims 4 freezes when connected to internet
This problem only appeared when I was forced to switch from origin to ea app, I can't even peacefully play the game anymore without it lagging and stuff. Every time I try to open the game, it freezes during the Sims 4 logo text thingy, and then if I turn off wifi, it'll load however whenever I do that, it doesn't load all my saves, forcing me to start anew, so what I used to do was open the game not connected to the internet and then I would turn on the internet when it loaded in so I'd get my saves, but now nothing is working and I have tried everything to fix it, nothing is fixing anymore. The game won't open.
I'm on a MacBook Air (M2, 2022) with the most recent software update which is macOS Sonoma 14.5 so it's most definitely an EA problem, not mine.
I might've fixed it for now, but what I did was, deleted all my mods and downloaded them all over again anew, I moved the application itself to the desktop (idk what it does but I read that I should do it), after I did all that, I restarted the computer and downloaded all the required packs and then I opened sims with internet connection (twice) and everything worked smoothly, the mods were no longer showing a bunch of errors neither did the computer, honestly I don't know what was the issue but I'm pretty sure it'll reappear again in the future.
