Sims 4 "Game in progress" Can't Save.

Started my Sims 4 normally and the options to manage world, save, and travel were grey. When I hover over them it says "game loading in progress ". I have tried deleting that family and starting a new one, I have tried restarting my MacBook.  I would add that just before loading the game I downloaded the "live in butler" mod and deleted some cache files. Idk if the mod changed something or I deleted the wrong file. Where do I go from here?
