Sims 4 gameplay bug/issue after Highschool Years

Hey everyone,

Today 28th July 2022 I downloaded the new expansion pack - Highschool Years and unfortunately, everytime I go into the live mode and try to play sims, my screen looks as below - see attached photos.

The only time the screen looks normal is in build mode.

I tried everything - updated one of the mods I have to the latest one, I also removed one of the mods that I thought might be causing problems, I restarted the game, I repaired the game directly from Origin but the issue is still there.

Can anyone advise if any of you have the same issue and if you fixed it? Or if this is a bug from EA - a bug that came with the new expansion or update.

Any advice/help is appreciated!

@marinadxc Please remove all your mods, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop, and delete localthumbcache.package, then test the game. If everything is back to normal, you can use the 50/50 method to sort through your mods:

If the game doesn't look normal even with no mods installed, please clear Origin's cache:

and repair the game: open your Origin game library, right-click on the Sims 4 icon, and select Repair.

@marinadxc This is an Out of date UI mod by Weerbesu, download the latest version to fix this

Hey,
If the game doesn't work without mods or cc then it seems like a bug in the game and all you can do is wait for some kind of update. However, if you only removed mods and not CC I would suggest going through the CC. My game was broken since the pack released I have literally spent a week going through and testing all my mods and CC. It is extremely time consuming. However if you have Sims 4 Tray files, it can be a bit faster. This was my first time going through my mods like this as well as using the tray file. All in all everyone updated their mods, I would suggest doing that If you haven't already. My problem was due to CC no longer being compatible with the new update. All I was able to do prior to fixing it was ender build mode. Best of luck, hope you can get it fixed soon if you have not already.
