OK this may help, or not. The game is stuck trying to give the needs commands. I'm doing aspirations on the kids ATM. The response is instantaneous, it's the needs like a shower, or drawing in aspirations that did get stuck. I'm trying to rewards my way out of it on most needs. You can plain disable them too, till this is fixed. Might help others just trying to enjoy the game. Plus is it me, or do needs decay way faster ATM also? Might be lack of response to them instead, but it seems like even after they slept, bam, out of energy the next minute. It all got ridiculous last night. ATM it's like the game is 100% normal. I just don't know. Random things like reloading causing it to get fixed. BTW moving out and into another lot caused the save to be ruined. I had to go to load and recover it. That may have helped the game to run better too I guess.

Please describe in your own words what you are seeing in your game exactly. few seconds after I start playing the clock stops, the sims are not responding but are still moving (meaning- they don't walk or do anything but they are not freeze like when the game is paused) and I cant exit the game at all (not even without saving).
I already tried to repair the game, take all mods and CC out.. Nothing helped.
What is the save game?
I've checked after sorting out by most recent. It was 12.5 mb. What would happen was I'd place a house I've saved to the library for that size lot that I made before the update. Anything inside the house wouldn't show at all. Most of it was made using the base game. But since then when I restored a save it seems to have fixed most of the problems I had. It just lags here and there clicking on an object, but I can live with that. It's nothing like it was before. Another thing that I did was turning the limit to 200 sims and keeping it that way. Even though I still constantly need to fix the blue hair, or other things that annoyed me and I was trying to counter by controlling all I could. I guess if the fixed ones are in other households it still works. It's not perfect like it was pre update, but mostly I could just play and forget it. And yes multiple, some are 8 mb, some are 10.5 I didn't understand before what the actual save file was from those endings.

I have the same exact issue and had exhausted literally every option to fix it and the only fix for me is the removing the pack itself.
I figured with this update I would start fresh from scratch with everything so not a single mod, no custom content, no saves, no tray items, squeaky clean. Tried repairing the game and deleting cache. Uninstalled, permanently deleted all files and reinstalled the game.
It's been 2 days of 8+ hours working on this to see if I can actually play the game and still nothing. It's empty, completely from scratch and the only way the game runs is with the pack disabled.
I don't know if I'm cursed or if EA specifically just hates me. I hope and pray for a fix because this was my most anticipated pack ☹️
