Sims 4 keeps crashing when I click on 'New game'

Okay. Here's a sequence for you to try:

Back up your Saves, Mods, Tray, Screenshots, and Videos on your desktop, in case they aren't still there.
Delete the folder Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4
In the EA App/Origin, repair the game files
Start the game

My game still crashes for some reason, and I followed all of the steps.
