Sims 4 no longer working

Hi. I have been having issues with the Sims 4 for about a week and a half now. It started with my game not launching one random day. So as per usual when this happens, I removed my mods folder and slowly re-added the cc to see what was broken. I even used Twisted Mexi's Better Exceptions to help me along the way. I have found quite a bit of the broken cc, but I'm still having problems. I even got to the point where I completely deleted all of my mods and cc and decided to start from scratch (as much as I didn't want to.) I am still having issues. One minute it will work and the next it won't. Typically it will say "not responding", so I either wait a good while to see if it might happen to work, pull out my mods folder AGAIN, or force quit the game and retry. I can rarely get it to launch, and if I do, it's because I have almost 0 cc/mods. I have even repaired the game numerous times. My Mac is up to date as well, I made sure of it. I am at a loss of what to do. I have even tried just to download reputable cc creators (like Madlen, Ruby Red, Sentate, Farfalla, Max 20, Hey Harrie, Pierisim, Felix Andre, etc...) and I am still having issues. I also have plenty of space on my computer. I am on a MacBook Air, but have played perfectly fine in the past (except the occasional minor cc breaking). I have a MacBook Air M1, 2020. I also always have it hooked up to a cooling pad that keeps it from overheating. Please help.
