Sims 4 object by function and object by room aren't working :,(

My Sims 4 'object by function' and 'room by function' don't work. I can pull up the UI itself but when I try to click on anything to find it the only thing that pops up is the all category that has all the items including downloaded mods, I don't know what to do so if someone could help me that would be greatly appreciated :[
