Sims 4 pinwheel of death

Hello!

I'm playing on my Macbook air and I haven't been able to play my game for the last month or two. Every time I click on the sims 4, whether it's in origin or  my applications folder, I'm met with the godforsaken pinwheel of death and I'm met with an error stating that is unable to start due to a different mod each time this error appears. This was not an issue two months ago when I still had all of my mods and the game would launch with no problem. I've tried repairing the game a million times, moving the Sims 4 folder to my desktop, updating both my computer and my game, doing the super repair, downloading the sims 4 mod assistant and getting rid of all conflicting or duplicated mods, updating my mods and deleting the older versions, and yet nothing has worked. This has been really frustrating and I seriously hope someone can help. This game is way too expensive for me to continuously have issues with it regardless of what computer I'm playing it on.

Move the Sims 4 folder to the desktop, launch the game, activate Mods, enable vsync in game options, then quit. Don't move over any pervious content such as saves but move just one piece of CC into the newly created Mods folder. What happens? If you get the error, could you please post a screenshot of it?

    Hello!

That solution worked until I added in my lots cc folder. Since then, the pinwheel and subsequent error message has appeared every time I try to start the game. I think I'm just going to restart my lots cc folder and see if that works. I've attached a picture of what the error message looks like. It must be noted that this error message did not show up until I added in my lots cc folder.

Thanks, screenshots are always helpful. It's a CC/Mods issue as a clean vanilla game is working on your Mac. Moving your thread to the Game and Mods forum for better troubleshooting 🙂

Hi @JJJxiii Remove the CC file that's named in that image and delete the localthumbcache file (to cover anything about that CC file that the game has put in "memory"). That might be enough to solve your issue.
