sims 4 scenario

just set up the in finding love after a breakup and when going from live mode to buy mode the interface disappears from the screen and there is no task manager for the scenario and the couples relationship is continually in the full red bars and wont go down the sims start brawls which is triggering for me bc a couple can be separated without being enemies and if the sims hate each other why are they in the same household together even if the goal is to get a sim to more on and date and move out then why no task bar. i dont know what actions will make me fail the scenario or make it that much harder to finish. please help.

  • If I were to play this one, this is what I'd do:

    1. Move them into a two bedroom place and have them generally avoid each other until the sentiments wear off. Maybe apologize to each other a few times. Lock each bedroom to the other Sim so they won't autonomously go in and use the other's computer, etc. Charisma level 4's "Smooth Apology" is more effective, so maybe level charisma for both of them?

    2. Try some friendly socials after the sentiments are gone.  Maybe take some selfies together.  😉

    3. See where it goes from there.

Basically, yeah, as long as those sentiments are there most socials will fail.

If you want to absolutely forbid fights and have Get Together, put them in a club together and make "be mean" and "fight" banned activities and "be friendly" a club activity. This should limit further damage.

    Good luck!

@xochiquetzl_xkvn That's pretty much it. Don't even try the romance and flirty options. It's futile. Even friendly actions will fail as long as the anger is there. Just avoid and wait until they're gone.

After that, friendly options are the thing to try and re-build the friendship. Once it's in the green, MAYBE try some flirty options. Test the waters there.

I'm darn good at romance in the game. I want to try it, just waiting for mods to update first. I hate playing vanilla. The game's too buggy without mods.

The game runs fine with vanilla, yes there are many bugs and yes is annoying as hell but is not too buggy that a causal player NEED MODS. It’s the same as with Skyrim. Is Skyrim better with mods? maybe... but it works fine without mods. I would never touch Fallout or Vampires: Bloodlines without mods but both works *good* without mods. Its just false to say the game is too buggy without mods, and its scare new player off. Many players don’t use reddit/forum, or this help/Bug-Site anymore because the standard answer is... Oh this bug/annoying behaviour? XX have a mod for. Its fine that XX have a mod for but I am a vanilla/console player, so I don’t/can’t rely on mods! I want a vanilla way to stop it, please tell me if i can it in vanilla(workaround) or not! result: I don’t bother anymore to report/ask here.

    Scenario:

The romance scenario ... very easy specially if you use unbalanced gamemechanics as take a picture with sim XXX

@enchantedrose30  I don’t have any issues with the scenario in vanilla. I build my test couple a shark and after I was finish it was still there. Have you tried to repair your game and test it without mods (if you use any)

Ok Hotshot, Game needs no mods; but if you tell me it doesn't need packs, you got to be pulling my leg ;P

anyway, romance isn't my specialty, but it occurs to me this scenario is meant to trigger---err...reflect people who have fought their battles to the death, and lost all control over the situation. Part of the challenge, is doing the otherwise impossible; besides, if it was easy, nobody'd want to do it (just look at "Rags to Riches" scenario, you literally can do it in 2 seconds, if you spam rosebud on the cheat console :P)

@enchantedrose30 - If I'm understanding you correctly, you may not realize they put the Scenario gizmo in a weird place (i didn't recognize this at first either), apparently instead of the logical place as another tab down by the needs/talents/career/etc they choose to put an Flag Icon in the upper left that expands when you click on it (It starts minimized), as for failure conditions, I think the main thing about these scenarios is: As long as you take them on they can be completed at your convince, I believe I read that in the patch notes (someone correct me if i'm wrong there), so as long as you create the household with the scenario active, you can finish it anytime, and generally you can't "Fail" them, short of something that would end the household (like death with no living sims). There are time-limited scenarios (e.g. Too Many Toddlers launched shortly after the concept was unveiled and had 3 toddlers to 1 parent trying to get everyone to 4+ Skill Levels), but there were no "Failure" conditions, assuming the kids didn't age up (which can be disabled, just like a regular save) I'd imagine you could work on it forever. Furthermore, you can actually load scenario households INTO existing save files, for rotational play (and that reminds me I need to search a bug regarding GTW and the new scenarios, I'll do that after I'm done here), anyway hope all this info helps!

  • The easy way is to make the two sims play chess together. My one sim was romancing a non household sim. The other one was a romantic partner of the outside sim, so ended up despising the housemate. After I fixed the romantic boundaries, playing chess got them friendly pretty quick.
