sims 4 sun bug

hi, so I tried building a house in sims 4 and I noticed that the sun is shining very weirdly. like, when I built a room and placed a window where the sun shone, the sunrays weren't showing on the floor and it was just light. but when I placed the window on the other wall, where sun didn't shine and there was a shadow from that building, the sunrays were on the shadow. it's pretty hard to explain, so I put images here. also, I have all graphic settings on medium, I tried to put lightning settings on high but nothing changed. how can I fix this?

  • yes, I have moo but it doesn't do anything to the walls and the walls always close for me with or without moo. and it doesn't matter if I used the walls tool or the room tool because the walls are closed. anyways, I fixed that bug by changing some of the graphics settings, like I put the lightning on ultra high and reflections on high and now everythings fine. but that's kinda weird, because I always had my settings on medium and everything was fine until that bug happened.

You see the light through the second window because there is no roof or ceiling. Your circle inside the house is up against the wall compare that with how far away from the house the other is. If you rotate the lot you will likely see the light further in..

  • @jpkarlsen what do you mean? there is a roof, you can't see it because I'm viewing it from the 1st floor view (honestly I don't know how to call it, but there is a roof). and no matter how big the room is or how I rotate the camera or the lot (rotating the lot won't really change anything because sun graphics depend on which wall sun shines), this problem is still there.

By rotating I meant so that you could see more of the room than in your image.

Here is how your image look:

Here is the same just rotated:

Notice that you now see the light from inside.

Here it is after I added a roof:

    No light outside.

  • I tried deleting the roof like in your image and then added the roof and there is no sun on the shadow anymore, but there are still no sunrays in the room but there should be. also when I add the roof, if I make it lower then there are these sunrays on the shadow just smaller (depends on how low or high the roof is). it's probably a bug but I don't know how to fix it

Do you by chance have the cheat MOO on? I see that you used the wall tool to create the room. With MOO on there might be a situation where the walls don't form a closed room though it looks that way. Try using the room tool instead.
