Sims 4 Tray Importer Broken - What's the Alternative?

Hi All,
Since the tray importer does not work for replacing the default gallery images for our creations, what is the alternative?

For me, when I change out the default with a custom image for the gallery with S4TI, my townie gets corrupted and I have to delete them permanently (thankfully I had a backup). I assume that is the issue others are experiencing, and most forums just state it isn't working, but provide no alternative or other details.

However, I still see custom images on the Gallery all the time. So, there must be an alternative right? Does anybody know? Every Google search just redirects me back to S4TI (thanks AI).

    Try checking the settings in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\TS4SimRipper to make sure that the mod is looking for the game files in the right place.

    You are on Mac or PC?

    Replacing a portrait should not break your townie, but sometime the modified portrait may create issue.
    When it happens you can just restore the original portrait found in Tray.Backup.
