Sims 4 will not launch

miranda_bear15​  Is the EA App loading?  Please try opening it directly.  Sims 4 won't work if the App can't verify your ownership of the game.

If the App works fine, and you haven't already done so, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If this doesn't or didn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

I think it is something in my Mods folder but I am not sure what. However, here is the dxdiag!

miranda_bear15​  Your dxdiag doesn't list any Sims 4-related errors, which could simply mean they've been crowded out by newer errors.  Or it could mean that the game is being blocked from starting.  But if it does start with your Mods folder removed, then that's your answer, and you'll need to sort through the contents of that folder to find the broken file(s).

If the game doesn't start with the Mods folder removed, please check your antivirus for recent actions involving Sims 4 or the EA App.  That's the most common reason for a block on the game starting at all.

Okay, thanks! The game did start without my mods folder in it. I'm in the process of finding it. I'm just super confused on how I could play the other day with all of my mods in it but now I can't.
