I've read all of these replies, but I don't think anyone is having the same issue as me. I updated Sims and all of my Mods yesterday after not playing since August. When I click resume to go to the last household played, the Sims are not showing up in the bottom left. I can go to worlds to try and switch households, but when you hover over the households, to doesn't show the Sims, it's just a blue and white flickering going on. I also can't switch to another household. Clicking the play button does nothing. I've updated every Mod that I think had an update. I'm playing on a MacBook.
Help pls! I have just downloaded the "my wedding story" pack, and suddenly I can't see the character's control panel. No sim, no moodlets, no storage, nothing. Completely gone.
Also after relaunching the game- an error message appeared. 😢My modes are updated, it happened after I downloaded the pack. What can I do? Thanks! 🤞

After the Oct 22nd 2024 update All of my sims are deleted from saved games.
I go to click on a household I was previously playing and gone. It looks like the house is for sale. Same with other households I've created. Even households that EA generated, gone.
All of my worlds are empty.
I removed my mods and tried and still the same thing.
- @MissTunaForU Hi! I am pretty sure this is a mod related issue, since there was an update yesterday many mods broke. When I search the error code, I find that codes with 109 in the beggining most likely is caused by a mod. Try taking out your mods just to be sure! Let me know how it goes
Unfortunately I have already tried everything, including game repairing and deleting mods and cache files… nothing helps 😢
I guess that waiting is all that have been left atm(?)
- hmmm.. Have you tried the suggestions from this thread? Pressing TAB or deleting the localthumbcache.package file along with the mods?

I really hope you find a solution! @kaylierenee Please do a true "vanilla" test: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.
@amberray Not all broken mods have updates available. Sounds like you have some of those. You can start at Broken/Updated Mods & CC . I advise not playing with mods that the creator hasn't updated or cleared for the patch.
@1a2dfe91f301c970 Don't just remove mods. Make sure to also delete localthumbcache and try an earlier version of your save. You might also want to check here for known issues and updates: Broken/Updated Mods & CC
@MissTunaForU Many, many broken mods don't have updates available. Please try this vanilla test: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving. Follow those exact instructions.
If you still have issues, please follow up with this test:
- Back up your user folder and create a new one: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2014/09/resetting-the-game-to-factory-settings-without-reinstalling/
- Run a Game Repair in the EA App
- Start Sims 4. Make sure that there are no saves you could load. If there are, please let us know.
- Select "New" and see if the issue is solved.
After this, we can deal with getting you back with your content.
