Sims builds show up in manage worlds but not when loaded

Hi. I just spent like five hours building a house in the sims, and when I look at the lot from manage worlds, the finished version is there, but when I load the lot to play with my sims, all of my building progress since the previous save is gone. I've tried repairing my game but it solved nothing. Is there any known way to fix this?
