Sims cannot enter Home

Whether I build the home, download a lot from the gallery, or even just build a plain box on the sim's owned lot, My sims cannot enter their own house. And when I press the floor up or down or walls up or down buttons, I cannot view the inside of the building in live play mode. I've restarted my computer, the game and repaired the game a few times. I find security and ease of my anxiety playing this game and I would be really upset if I was not able to play anymore. I've already not been able to play my game for at least a week and I feel like my anxiety is going up when I cant play my game
