Sims cc not working
Hello, ive played sims for a while now and have accumulated more that 3000 files of CC I've never had problems. The other day I logged in to play and the game would not load, it was stuck on the load...
@tengenssexyrat Sounds like time to do some systematic testing of your CC, and you'll be able to get most of it in the game after and get your save back in order.
First, make a copy of your Saves folder on your desktop. It includes a few previous versions of your current save, from before you saves without that hair, so you'll be able to get that back. But for now, you're going to keep that save while you test CC.
Next, drag the whole Mods folder to your desktop and delete the file called localthumbcache. Start the game and exit. Now you have a new Mods folder to test in.
Here's how to test your CC and mods to find which files are broken: 50-50
You can also have a look at the Broken/Updated lists for this new patch, although there's not much there (it was a minor patch).
I tried all of that, but I restarted my game and there are only a few cc files working in my game, but not nearly as much as I originally downloaded. I copied all of my files into the folder but it's still not working. All my sims heads are bare and their houses have no furniture anymore. I have two current sims files, one labeled “Sims 4 old” and the current sims 4 file. Could that have caused the problem?
@tengenssexyrat The game will look only at Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. If you have any other folders in Documents > Electronic Arts, it won't try to look in them. (This is a good thing, because I keep a lot of stuff there!)
If you saved the game with the CC not installed/enabled, you'll need to either put it back on the Sims or restore an earlier version of your game. Here's how to do the second one: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mod-CC-Issues/I-need-help-fixing-my-save/m-p/12640403#M42078
How would I go about getting the mods to work again? When I start up the game it shows all of the mods I downloaded but when I open the game to customize my sims, only a few show up. I checked my mods folder and it shows that all my mods are in the folder, they just won't show up. I've ruled out broken mods and things of that sort. Thanks 🙂
@tengenssexyrat There are a few common reasons things don't show up in CAS:
