Sims not doing task

So I just put my game into my external drive( I used steam to download the sims4) and everything was working fine I can see my mods and cc and I have some packs. When I go to have my sims interact or do task they’ll go to complete/ do it but then they witless glitch/freeze up and then the task disappears then they’re fine again does anyone know how to fix this problem?

    @Funsized_lo Sounds like a classic case of outdated cc or a cc conflict. Remove the Mods folder and delete the localthumbcache.package file. Restart the game and see if that didn't fix it?

    @BylineBelife Currently at work right now but I’ll most definitely try this when I get home and I’ll let you know how it goes.
