Sims Sidebar Gone

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.103.250.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? High school, seasons, growing together, cottage living, cats & dogs, city living, get to work, get famous, island living, discover university, get together, snowy escape, eco-lifestyle. Parenthood, vampires, werewolves, wedding stories, outdoor retreat, strangerville. Tiny living, my first pet stuff, laundry day stuff, kids room stuff.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Idk, I haven't seen any other reports of it until this point.
What happens when the bug occurs? I will load my game and then click off of one sim in specific and then back on to him and there will be no sidebar where tasks show up. Just one sim?
What do you expect to see? No sidebar.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

Hello! I was wondering if anyone could help me with a problem that has been ruining my Sims 4 gameplay as of very recently. Whenever I load a game and click on one of my sims, who is a vampire (don't know if that makes any difference), the sidebar where tasks and such normally appear is completely gone, and anything that would be displayed there is too. The issue does not occur when I turn off mods, but I don't know where else to ask for help. Anything would be appreciated.

    Hi @braindamageyay The localthumbcache file is in Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, not in the Mods folder. Instead of copying the Mods folder, you want to drag it out to the desktop, then also delete the localthumbcache folder. After that, your game will have "forgotten" you have mods and you can start the game to see if you still have the problem.

    @braindamageyay

    Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
    If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

  • I don't have a package file called localthumbcache.package currently downloaded in my mods folder, I copied my mods folder into my desktop but I'm not sure if that was what was exactly asked of me. Thank you so much for responding! No one else has up to this point haha.

    OMG THANK YOU! I just went through your list and moved the broken mods out of my mods folder and it worked! I'm going to update all of them now, thank you so much and have a blessed day.
