Sims spinning glitch

For some reason, my sims keep randomly dropping to the floor and spinning in circles. I've tried pretty much everything - removing all script mods, removing broken cc, repairing the game etc - but nothing has worked. I've noticed that it seems to be primarily NPCs that are affected by the glitch, but it's happening literally every few seconds which makes it near impossible to play the game properly. Does anyone know how I can fix this? 😢
