Sims Stuck in Labor

I've been playing rotationally for the past couple of weeks and haven't had any issues up until recently when two sims in one of the households got pregnant via alien abduction. I have MCCC and use the pause pregnancy setting so that I can switch back into that household when the sim goes into labor. As soon as the sim actually starts to have the baby, whether at home in a bassinet or at the hospital, I get the pop-up to name the baby but then the game gets completely stuck. I can't pause or change the time speed at all. The options to save, go to manage world, or travel are greyed out. I can't click on anything or switch to a different character in the household. I've tried using the resetsim command but it does nothing. Every other sim stops what they're doing and stands completely still, except for the pregnant sim that's stuck in perpetual labor. I have to force close the game every time. The only mod I have that affects pregnancy is MCCC and have had no issue with any other sim giving birth up until now. Something to do with it being an alien pregnancy maybe? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
