Sims won't shower because "can't take off clothes in front of child"

My sims won't shower using an invisishower because "Your sims can't take off their clothes in front of a child"...  but my sims' toddler is asleep in the adjacent room, with two doors needing to be traversed to reach the shower from the toddler's bed. I have mods disabled, using the Oct. 31 patch, but am not sure if this is new behavior as I usually expand the bathroom of my tiny home to fit in a shower/bath combo replacing the wall-mounted shower after my sims' first baby is out of the bassinet. This time I have an outside tub for bathing the toddler. I didn't notice this happening when the toddler was an infant.

I have all packs and some kits. Save available on request.

Edit: Sing in the shower is allowed, for a sim with the singing skill, even though the other shower options aren't allowed for the same sim.

Edit 2: After the toddler woke up and before she got off the bed, all shower options were available for her parents. The toddler bed's headboard is against the wall between the toddler's room and the bathroom.
