sims4 not saving relationships

Hi! every time I save and exit and while playing I make sure to save game as well, but I've been having a problem. when I go back to my game, my sims daughter was no longer her daughter, in fact her daughters family lineage shows she doesn't have a father also. my other sims girlfriend is no longer his girlfriend, I just don't understand what's going on. please help me, thank you.
