@TheForestBabe did you try both with the same cc file and one worked and one didn't?
Yes. Same CC, only works if it’s not in a folder. Did this again with other CCs and the result is the same across the board. Game will launch if CC is put straight into the Mods folder. If I put the CC in a folder inside the Mods folder then the game will not launch.
- 3 years ago@TheForestBabe One thing I can suggest you to try is remove your entire mods folder, then relaunch the game, exit
Then move your CC into the new mods folder, but don't replace the new config file.- 3 years ago
@DeanXeL @I gave that a try and it seemed to work, but then I tried adding more CC and the results were the same.
I’m starting to think the problem is something else entirely, as the game has intermittently launched a couple times, with different CC-folder ratios. However it takes FOREVER. I’ll turn and do something else and suddenly the music will come on and the game loads and plays normally. I tried again, and only placed around 200mb worth of CC in the Mods folder and left my computer running, and after maybe 20 minutes the game launched. The EA app and the game will also disappear from the task manager, so it gives me no reason to believe it’s actually trying to launch. Though, I know they’re still going in the background as I’m unable to move things in the Mods folder. I have to restart my computer to be able to use the folder again.
I have never encountered the game to take any extra time to launch, and I can’t find any reasons why it suddenly is. 😪I’ve made no changes except having to get the EA app and update the game.
- 3 years ago@TheForestBabe Hmm, do you use cloud sync (onedrive/icloud)?
