Social events not getting gold

I am also having issues earning medals for my goaled social events since my game updated today. I'm not sure if we're experiencing the same issue, a similar issue, or a completely different one though.

I made up a wedding venue to cater to every aspect of the various wedding events (bachelorette party, ceremony, reception, etc). Last week, my sim had completed 2 or 3 events, and each had earned gold with minimal effort. However, after my game updated today, I can't seem to reach higher than a silver medal ... totally regardless of the amount of effort I put into it the 2nd-7th time through.

All of the requirements to earn top score have been fulfilled, but it just won't recognize my earning gold. I tried it over a dozen times, getting more crazy with my efforts with each shot.

Different lots didn't help, using alternate goal-achieving items didn't work, attempting to throw different events resulted in nada, tried selecting fewer goals in the set-up to no avail. Not even teleporting around the room and accomplishing the goals ten times over did the trick. And that was my last attempt.

I give up for now. No fairytale wedding for my sim anytime soon.
