[solved]Cant activiate Script mods since update

Since the last Update, I can't activate script mods in game. The Options field is disabled, kind of grayed out. How can I activate Mods again?
  • Hello.
Come out of the game completely. Then go back into the game. Go to game options and check that the " enable custom content and mods" button is ticked. It is found in :
Options | Other | Enable Custom Content and Mods.
Then see if you can tick the script mods allowed button that is under it.
Exit the game. Then go back into the game again and see if your mods are working.

If you still have issues, move your options.ini file from the sims 4 folder to the desktop . Start the game and a new options.ini file will be generated. Then go to game options and reset your settings,
  • oh my. i did not see that button... must be going blind :o ;)
    Thanks for your help!

I just wanted to say that I love you! it helped me a lot, I was already thinking about installing the game again.??????
  • This was meant to make updating less confusing. I swear I have seen more confused help posts since than ever before.

    please help me XD

The options.ini file creates itself when you run the game. Not sure how you don't have it? Make sure you aren't synced to some online backup service! Anyway, here's a help post about this: https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/2020/09/changing-the-options-doesnt-stick/
