When using platforms to create a landing for stairs, the stairs connecting from the bottom floor up to the platform no longer have the walls attached. Happens with and without Mods/Scripts enabled. What happens when the bug occurs? The stairs are floating without a base. What do you expect to see? That the stair case has the walls/base attached. Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? YesDid this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? YesPlease describe the patch or change you made. This has been happening since the update/patch on 03.24.This happens regardless of mods/scripts enabled or not. Happened after the update that occurred March 24th 2022 maybe around midday PST.

@lexisplays I just tested this in a vanilla test save. I had no problem with it as shown in the pic. I got the stair base for every stair I tested including the one I see highlighted in your first pic. I get the base every time. So idk why you are getting what you are getting with the base. I do have all packs and the game is up to date with the latest patch. The only thing that I can recommend that you try is to do a repair and see if that helps. Hope this helps.

@evanmwogrin You can usually get the base to show again if you apply wall paint to the stairs. Just select a wall paint and click on the stairs like you would if the base was there. That should restore the base.Hope this helps.

@evanmwogrin Ok, I downloaded the lot this morning and spent the last couple of hours trying to find a way to get the stair base to show up on those stairs. Sadly, without much success. I get what you are trying to do with the stairs but what you've done in that stair area is pretty complicated. Between the stairs, platforms, open stairwell, columns, the sunken and raised foundations and the tight space for the stairs in that area, something about that combination is keeping the stair base from showing. I could get the stair base to show with just the platform and stair when I placed it out in the yard by itself but couldn't get it to show inside. Bottom line is that I just couldn't find a way to get the base to show no matter what I tried. The best I can offer is a way to hide the open space under the stairs using half walls as shown in the pic below. I know it's not what you wanted, but it's the best I could come up with short of completely redoing that section of the build. It's a beautiful build and I really like what you've done. It's obvious that you've spent a lot of time and effort on it. I'm sorry I couldn't find a way to get it to work the way you want it to.Hope this helps.

No Stair Wall Base with PlatformPlease help!I am trying to attach stairs to a platform, but no matter what I do, every time I try to place it, the wall base under the stairs disappears. (See photos, one shows that no wall is added when I place the stair or try to place a wallpaper on the stair. The other photo shows a stair where I was able to place a wallpaper.I have tried every type of stair. I have tried applying a wallpaper. I have tried repairing my game.I know it is possible to attach a stair to a platform with the base wall included, I’ve seen it before and done it before.Can someone help walk me through what the problem could be, please?

I have tried this, and that does not fix the problem.

@evanmwogrin I think this is normal.

When a Stair is conected on a platform and goes up, the wall doesn't conect to the bottom floor. For this it needs a bigger platform.

@666_Carbide_666 Apologies - that was just showing that the wall CAN be attached if it is not attached to a platform.

Tbh, I can't tell what is really going on from your pics. So, if you are willing to upload the build to the Gallery, I will download it and troubleshoot to see if I can figure out what is going on with the stairs.

Sorry that it was not clear. Basically, there are no base walls attached to my stairs when I place them on a platform. Even if I try to add a wallpaper, or apply a different type of stair. No walls base ever appears.

I will upload my incomplete build under the title “Casina Valadier” !

@evanmwogrin If you want to have a Stair with a Wall directly, you have to build the Stair without a platform.
