Strangerville Curio Shop Broken

Hello! I recently started a new run through of the Strangerville storyline, I've played it almost all the way through before but my game crashed during the very end. During that play through, the little curio stand where you can buy the hazmat suit and tinfoil hat and other strange items worked just fine. I started playing today and noticed that when I click on the curio stand, it gives me the typical produce stand options of "Haggle" or "Buy Produce...". I read another thread in which the exact same problem was happening and I followed some of the same steps, I factory reset my game and started slowly adding back my folders. After the factory reset, the curio stand worked perfectly in the brand new save. But, when I added back my Saves folder, the stand went back to not working. I'm not sure if this is because the save I was using had the broken stand in the first place, or maybe there's a corrupt save? I don't know.

I am a modded simmer and I have over 3,000 mods, however, I only added back the Saves folder to the game and it went back to broken. I always update all of my mods and they should be 100% up to date, so I don't think my mods are the problem here. I'm down with just giving my sim the hazmat suit she needs to progress the storyline if anyone knows of a cheat to getting the suit without the curio stand.

I'm running the Sims 4 on a ROG Zephyrus G14 Laptop with a AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor and Radeon Graphics. I also have all of the packs EXCEPT for Werewolves, Crystal Creations, Modern Luxe Kit, Poolside Splash Kit, Spooky Stuff Kit, My First Pet, Fitness Stuff, and maybe a few other little kits I'm forgetting about.

Please let me know what you think, and if there's just a cheat to get the hazmat suit then I'll just do that, there's lots of little bugs I come across with my thousands of mods and multiple packs, so I'm not worried about having a perfect game lol.

One (or more) of your mods permanently damaged that save. This can happen when you don't keep your mods updated. so you need to play with the new save that works.

  • @NicoleBarrett04 It might be worth doing a test of your mods with that test save you made. Just because a mod didn't get updated doesn't mean it works. Unfortunately, I don't know of a mod/CC that specifically breaks that shop.
