Stuck in build mode

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Not sure
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? None
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Not sure
What happens when the bug occurs? I cant exit or edit anything
What do you expect to see? Fixed build mode
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have issues with the build mode and I can't get out. I have deleted some cc and the UI cheats extentsion but the build mode is still stuck and not working. Is there a way to fix this?

    @quq3wf8t5vf7 Please start by confirming that a mod is causing your problem: Drag the Mods folder to the desktop, delete the file called localthumbcache, open the game to test, and exit without saving.

    There's a chance that your issue is a mod listed in Broken/Updated Mods & CC , including under Previously Broken CC, so if that vanilla test above works, those lists are worth a start before you embark on a full 50-50
