Stuck in Map

I had just created a sim and wanted to move them into a town but when I click on a plot it says game failed to load, I have noticed It also does that with previous sims I have already played with, it will not load me into their household and I will be stuck on the map. It tells me to restart the game but when I do that the error still pops up.
